Perinatal Support: Support in Pregnancy & Parenthood
Planning for support in pregnancy and after Baby is here? You might want to consider looking ahead and planning for visits during pregnancy and in the early days, weeks and months with a doula. Availability may vary week to week, but once you get on the calendar, that time is reserved for you.
During pregnancy, we might use our time together to:
After birth, I might offer support by:
The rate for our 2-hour visit is $60. If you should need to cancel your appointment, please do so with a 24-hour notice. Appointments are prepaid and you may schedule up to 5 appointments at a time. Appointments that are cancelled with less than 24-hour notice will not be refunded except in emergency circumstances.
There may be an additional travel fee added for those living outside the city of Bloomington.
During pregnancy, we might use our time together to:
- discuss birth planning
- talk through some of your questions regarding birth and postpartum
- explore what you might want during the days, weeks and months after Baby is here
- I might help you tackle some jobs on your to-do list, such as light housekeeping
After birth, I might offer support by:
- listening to your birth story
- offering a listening ear as you talk through the joys and challenges in being a new parent
- help with light housekeeping
- prep a meal or snacks
- care for Baby while you tend to your needs
